Rear Axel Problem Ends Night For JJ Pack

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (Oct 28th, 2006) – Forty-two Pro Cup teams arrived for the running of the Mark Brooks Memorial Bi-Lo 250 at Myrtle Beach Speedway, making for an ultra-competitive field. The top 30 cars in qualifying were separated by .350 of a second.

JJ Pack and the Packs Racing team qualified 25th for the Mark Brooks Memorial Bi-Lo 250 at Myrtle Beach Speedway.

The car ran ok for the first couple of laps.  As the race progressed the handling on the car went away as the track up the tires on the 16N UMG Financial Chevy.  As the race went on JJ reported the car getting very tight.  He came in for a pit stop and changed tires.  The car continued to get worse and worse.

Throughout the race the team made several chassis adjustments along with air pressure adjustments and spring rubbers.  But JJ reported in that with all the adjustments made, the car still would not turn.

Later in the race the 16N UMG Financial Chevy has the rear left axel fall out of the car.  For the remainder of the race JJ had to baby the car.

“We ended up finished a disappointing 35th.  Hopefully we can put this bad luck behind us.  On the brighter side we did gain 3 positions in the points.  I am really looking forward to going to our next race.” Said JJ Packs.
