Davin Scites Finishes 9th in the  Mid-Atlantic Championship 350 at Caraway

Caraway -"In qualifying the car broke loose both laps so we ended up close to the back with a 18.01. But we also knew we had to make it better if we wanted to win. For the heat race we found out we did not have the right gear for the race and needed to make it better."

"Sunday race day we changed four springs, the gear and track bar. We started on the tail of the 36 car field. The car was still too tight so around lap 20 we came in and put a spring rubber in. On around lap 60 we came in and put another spring rubber in."  Full Story

Smith Stays Smooth Captures Bridgeport Win

BRIDGEPORT, NJ (July 30, 2005)- GR Smith of Folsom, NJ proved that the younger guys can get it done Friday Night at the Bridgeport Speedway, as he held off All-Time Modified Feature Winner Jimmy Horton, to pick up his second win this season.

It seemed to be all Horton heading for his first checkered flag of the season pulling, at times, half a straightaway from second place runner GR Smith.  A lap 12 restart gave Smith the opportunity to pounce as he wailed past Horton entering in turn 1.  The two shuffled and diced exchanging spots, with Smith in the middle and Horton rim-riding the high side, weaving in and out of lapped traffic.  Horton had his shot with two laps to go.  A lapped car on the bottom of 3 left Smith riding up high, Horton dove to the middle to split the two only to have Smith shut the door and go on to pick up his second victory.

The racing action heated up on the first lap.  There was a wild multi-car wreck coming off the second turn on the very first lap.  “Starting at the rear of the field was a blessing in disguise.  Where we would have started we would have ended up in the wreck.  Everyone from 6th place to 13th place ended up wrecked.”

Jesus is ready to go with Waste Management

Rounding out Team Waste Management Racing's roster is Dodge Weekly Racing Series driver, Jesus Hernandez.

"Being a first generation Mexican-American was a disadvantage when it came to racing. I lacked the resources that some competitors had. I was racing with second and third generation drivers with networks and resources that I didn't have. So coming to this new program allows me to be on a level playing field. Also being on the forefront of drivers changing the face of NASCAR and paving the way for all people to be recognized as competitors is an awesome cause." Hernandez said.
