SCITES TO DRIVE NO. 06 CHAMPION CHEVROLET
IN 2008
MOORESVILLE,
N.C. (March 18, 2008) – After a successful 2007 season, Davin Scites Motorsports
has announced the No. 06 Champion Chevrolet schedule for 2008, which features a
full slate of racing at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va., plus select late
model stock car events at other tracks throughout the Southeast.
Scites, a native of West Virginia, ended the 2007 season with five wins, 15 top
fives and 18 top-10 finishes. He also set a new track record in qualifying for
the annual late model stock car race at Martinsville in September.
His success behind the wheel led Scites to an association with the Dale
Earnhardt Jr.-owned JR Motorsports for the 2008 season. Sponsored by Champion, a
world leader in the manufacturing of spark plugs, Scites moved into JR
Motorsports’ 66,000-square foot facility in Mooresville, N.C., at the end of
2007.
"Davin is a great race car driver and a great friend,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “He
worked out of a shop near my house last year and I was impressed with the number
of wins he racked up during the season. It seemed like every time I walked into
the shop there was a new trophy Davin had won over the weekend.
“With all his success, JR Motorsports is proud to be associated with Davin
Scites Motorsports for the 2008 season. I'm looking forward to seeing Davin put
the No. 06 Champion Chevy in Victory Lane."
Scites first race of the season is scheduled for April 5 at Motor Mile Speedway.
“I’m so excited to get this season started,” Scites said. “We’ve been working
hard on the car to get it ready for the season. We are honored to have Champion
as our sponsor and can’t wait to get on the track and get to racing.”

G&G Motorsports Marketing is Proud to Welcome
Sam Fullone

Sam Fullone, 25, of North Collins, NY, started his
racing career by competing in go-karts when he was just 13-years-old. Racing
karts has long been a stepping stone for aspiring race drivers such as NASCAR
superstars Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and countless others who cut their teeth
into the sport in this way. Sam raced weekly at Bliss International Speedway,
an asphalt kart track. Remarkably, he won in his first debut. He moved up to
Langford Speedway within a year where he recorded another win on the fast 1/8
mile clay oval.
When Sam turned 16-years-old, with a new driver’s license in hand, he advanced
to the Pro Trucks where he became the youngest driver at Holland Speedway to win
a feature race. Finishing an impressive 13th in points, the FOAR
Score Fan Club named him, “Rookie of the Year on Asphalt,” a prestigious honor
given to only one driver in a region comprised of ten racetracks.

G&G Motorsports Marketing is Proud to Welcome Rob
Jones

Rob Jones started flying in college. He graduated from Delaware State
University with a B.S. in Aircraft Systems Management. After college Jones was
selected to go to pilot training for the Maryland Air National Guard to fly A-10
fighter planes.
He
spent three years training to become a fully qualified fighter pilot in the
guard. After a year and a half flying full time in the guard Jones got hired by
American Eagle airlines and flew with them for almost a year before being hired
by UPS airlines. Since Rob Jones was a young child all he ever wanted to
do was race cars, but unfortunately the opportunities that are around today
weren't there when he was younger. Around that time Jones saw “Top Gun” he
decided to go to college and become a pilot.
"While in college I found out about the Air National Guard and decided to fly
fighters. I set three goals for myself, one was to fly fighters in the guard,
the other was to fly for the airlines, and the third was to pursue my dream of
becoming a professional racer when I could afford to fund my own dream.

Davin
Scites Wins the Mid-Atlantic Championship 350 at Caraway
October 15, 2007 – (Asheboro, NC) “After the great
run we had at Martinsville, I was looking forward to Caraways big race, the
Mid-Atlantic Championship 350. “
We went to practice on Saturday and I knew we had a good
car. I just need some minor adjustments.” Scites Drew a late number
for qualifying and ran a 17.310 putting him 3rd quickest.
”After qualifying the top six drew for their starting positions, of course I
drew the last number 6th! “
At the start of the race Scites was on the outside.
“At a small track like Caraway the bottom is the place to be. I fell back
to around 7th at the start. I finally got to the bottom and then started
working my way back to the front and drove up to 2nd position.”
At 125 laps into the race, officials called a caution to
allow the drivers to put fuel in the cars, change tires and make adjustments.
”We made a track bar adjustment and wedge adjustment for the second half of the
race. As the race went green, and knowing that there were 125 laps to go I
wanted to save my racecar but at the same time I didn’t want to let the leader
get too far ahead of me. I started hitting lap traffic and I decided to
make a move on the high side trapping the leader behind a lap car. This time it
worked great! We took the lead and never looked back!”

Davin
Scites Test Craftsman Truck
October 8, 2007 - Today Davin Scites spent the testing in a
Craftsman Truck. “The Truck felt good. The horsepower is really a
lot of fun to drive. “
“All day the truck was really loose and we tried to tighten
it up. It was a great day though and I’m looking forward running more
laps.”
