Davin Scites Shatters His Own Qualifying
Record Set Last Year

MARTINSVILLE, VA – September 28, 2008 - It was said that somebody would beat Scites’ record set last year and they did, it was Scites himself again that won the pole for the 2008 Bailey’s 300 and shattered last years Martinsville record. After over 100 cars went out to qualify for the Bailey’s 300, Davin Scites not only won the pole but set a new track record again at Martinsville.
Scites set a new track record of a 20.316 second pole. This is Scites second pole at Martinsville where he most notable broke the track record both times. “The Champion Chevrolet was just awesome.” Scites said.
A year ago, the Bailey’s 300 qualifying record was not just broken, not just shattered, but obliterated. Scite’s record-setting pole run last fall was 20.395 seconds (92.846 mph).

The fastest 22 cars will earn starting spots in Sunday’s race. The remaining 20 positions will be filled through the four, 25-lap heat races on Sunday.

Davin Scites Dominates at Motormile

Radford, VA (August 17, 2008) - Davin Scites led every lap of the Toyota/ATK 150 for his most dominating performance of the year and his third win of the season.

"The 06 Champion Chevrolet was running great, it was a great car for Saturdays race.

"We only had one caution so you had to hit all your marks and not make any mistakes. It was a great race."

Scites seemed to run error-free in a race that featured only one caution. "I tried to," he said. "I thought, 'Man, don't spin out."

This is Davins third win of the season, his 10th top five, 12th top ten out of 16 races.

Kory Rabenold To Drive for BW Motorsports Full Time in the ARCA/REMAX Series for 2009

Slatington, PA (8/7/08)- BW Motorsports, a new ARCA/REMAX Series team for the 2009 racing season has presented Kory Rabenold of Slatington, PA with a letter of intent as being one of the team’s primary drivers for next year and possibly beyond.

BW Motorsports is owned and operated by former Daytona 500 champion and NASCAR driver, Geoffrey Bodine, former ARCA competitor and owner, Doc Watson and Francine Schill, owner of G&G Motorsports Marketing. Over the last three years the trio has focused much of their time scouting drivers for their team and also developing a wide range of resources for their 2009 debut in the popular ARCA/REMAX Series.

They have high hopes of being a top shelf team and hopefully contend for the championship in the series. They all agree that the series is a proving ground for young, up and coming drivers.

Ms. Schill said, “BW Motorsports is very excited at the opportunity to bring Kory on board and we know he has the drive and the talent to be very successful”.

The team first spotted Rabenold during an event at Pocono International Raceway last season. They have been watching him ever since. Two of the contributing factors for the team’s interest in Rabenold are his raw talent and personality.

While at Pocono in early August of this year, Rabeno
ld spoke with Watson and Schill about his desire to compete at this level full time. Kory also discussed how difficult it has been to secure financial backing due to the rough economy. A small team like Rabenold’s current team, Kory Rabenold Racing, just doesn’t have the funding or resources to run the series on a full time basis, yet alone be competitive through out.

For Rabenold, the announcement couldn’t have come at a better time, especially since he and his team suffered a blown engine at Pocono on lap 40. The end result was a 38th place finish. Dejected, Rabenold headed back to the team hauler and was quickly greeted by Watson, who encouraged Kory by saying, “blown engines are all about racing. “That kind of thing is going to happen from time to time.” The important thing is he logged laps, gained more super speedway experience and showed some poise during race conditions.

Kory has been racing since the age of 5 and has always had a goal of competing in the upper levels of stock car racing.

He began his career in quarter midget racing, then at age 13 he moved into the asphalt pro-4 (cylinder) division. He made the leap into NASCAR tour-type modifieds in 2005, and then won many big events the following season, including a Race of Champions (RoC) event. He was also named the RoC “Rookie of the Year”. Last season Rabenold made his first ARCA/REMAX Series start at Pocono.

After running in the premier full-bodied series for two seasons, it appears that Kory Rabenold has finally received the break that he’s been so determined to receive.

Rabenold is still ecstatic about the opportunity. “I’m just really looking forward to the opportunity with BW Motorsports and words can’t describe how much my team and I appreciate them giving me a shot at racing stock cars professionally, and as a career”.
